Yamajathakudu Story
The film begins with Sivaji, a materialistic advocate who manipulates the judiciary to win fraudulent cases. A womanizer by nature, his only genuine affection is for his niece, Chintu. One day, Sivaji defends Srinath, the son of MP Narsingh, accused of rape and murder. Through deceit, Sivaji shifts the blame onto an innocent driver, Babji. Later, Sivaji meets and truly falls in love with the kindhearted Sirisha. Inspired by her, he reforms, abandons his corrupt ways, and prepares to marry her. However, during the engagement, Sirisha’s housekeeper Ramulamma—who happens to be Babji’s mother—curses Sivaji for her son’s fate. Wracked with guilt, Sivaji vows to prove Babji’s innocence. Enraged, Narsingh and Srinath murder Sivaji. His soul arrives in hell just as Yama is being crowned. Sivaji protests, discovering his lifespan still had 11 days left. Amused by his wit and desperation, Yama sends him back to earth under the guidance of his aide, Puthana.
Back on earth, Sivaji resumes his fight against Narsingh and Srinath, though the villains strike back, and Chintu loses her eyesight. In a moving sacrifice, Ramulamma donates her own eyes to restore Chintu’s vision. Meanwhile, Sivaji and Sirisha’s wedding is arranged at Tirumala. Knowing his days are numbered, Sivaji tries to call it off, staging a fake romance with his ex-girlfriend Swarna, with Puthana assisting to make Sirisha despise him. Yama soon descends to earth and, while examining Sirisha’s horoscope, reveals that her husband is destined for longevity. Realizing this, Sivaji rushes to Tirumala to marry her, even as Yama pursues him and the villains attempt to block his way. In the climax, Sivaji defeats his foes and ties the mangalasutram around Sirisha’s neck just as Yama casts his noose. Moved by their devotion, Lord Venkateswara and Yama bless the couple, and the film ends on a joyous note with their divine union.
