Nari Nari Naduma Murari Story
The film begins in Nakkabokkalapaadu, where Sesharatnam, a proud woman obsessed with outward beauty, lives with her henpecked husband, Veerabhadraiah. Though Veerabhadraiah once loved Nagamani, he was forced by his mother, Janakamma, into marrying Sesharatnam. When the truth surfaces, Sesharatnam rebukes her husband, ostracizes her mother-in-law, and lives apart. The couple has two daughters: Shobha, simple and homely, and Neeraja (Neeru), mischievous and modern. Veerabhadraiah wishes to marry one of them to his nephew, Venkateswara Rao (Venkanna), to unite the families. However, Sesharatnam inadvertently denies the match. Undeterred, Venkanna promises his grandmother he will wed one of his cousins and reform Sesharatnam. When he arrives at the village, Sesharatnam mocks him and challenges him to win her daughters. Venkanna then humorously woos both Shobha and Neeru in a series of quarrels and pranks, much to Sesharatnam’s annoyance. Meanwhile, Veerabhadraiah is secretly blackmailed by Appadu, forcing Venkanna to protect the family’s honor. Gradually, Shobha develops feelings for him, followed by Neeru, leading both daughters to declare they cannot live without him.
The story takes several comic and dramatic turns until Sesharatnam, shocked by their behavior, lashes out at her daughters. At this point, Veerabhadraiah intervenes and reveals a long-hidden truth: one of the two girls is not Sesharatnam’s biological child. Years ago, Sesharatnam had given birth to twins, but one baby was lost. Veerabhadraiah secretly replaced the missing child with Nagamani’s newborn daughter, raising both as their own. To clarify the truth, Sesharatnam visits Janakamma and Nagamani, but Janakamma admits she doesn’t know which child is hers. Nagamani wisely declares that true motherhood lies not in birth but in love and care, asking Sesharatnam to accept both daughters equally. Moved, Sesharatnam embraces Shobha and Neeru, expressing gratitude to Nagamani. The elders then leave the choice of marriage to Venkanna, but he is bewildered, unable to choose between the sisters. In the end, Venkanna rushes to Lord Venkateswara’s temple, only to realize that even the deity himself has never answered the same question from his consorts, Sridevi and Bhudevi. With Shobha and Neeru approaching him, Venkanna remains torn, and the film closes on a lighthearted note as he “marries” both, leaving the dilemma unresolved.
