Paisa Vasool Story

The film opens with Bob Marley, a dreaded mafia kingpin who remotely controls Hyderabad while operating from Portugal. To bring him down, India’s RAW chief seeks an unconventional solution, enlisting the help of a self-styled criminal through ACP Kiranmayi, a local IPS officer. She identifies Theda Singh, a notorious gangster recently released from Tihar Jail, and recruits him.

In Portugal, Theda Singh becomes the neighbor of Harika, a young woman searching for her missing sister Sarika. After Harika files complaints against Bob Marley’s men, she faces constant threats, and Theda Singh repeatedly shields her, leading to romance between the two. However, RAW officials are shaken when they learn Theda Singh may, in fact, be the monster who recently surfaced in Portugal. The tension peaks when Harika shoots him, believing he murdered Sarika, after which he is taken into custody.

During interrogation, Theda Singh narrates his past: once a cab driver and petty rogue in Portugal, he met Sarika during her sting operation on Bob Marley. The two fell in love, but Bob, aware of her investigation, plotted her elimination after she unearthed the involvement of Indian politicians and professionals in his empire. At that moment, Theda Singh revealed his true identity as Balakrishna Nandamuri, an undercover RAW agent assigned to terminate Bob Marley. Though he fought to protect her, Sarika was fatally wounded and died in his arms, urging him to care for her family. Disillusioned by his department’s order to release Bob Marley, Balakrishna faked his death and vanished.

Back in the present, RAW attempts to re-recruit him. Despite an assassination attempt by gangsters that leaves the RAW chief injured, Balakrishna resurfaces, passes a re-interview, and resumes the mission. Ultimately, he reveals that Bob Marley had already been killed on the same day Sarika died, and that Marley’s survival was a counterfeit narrative upheld by corrupt politicians and gangsters—all of whom Balakrishna has since eliminated.

The film ends with Balakrishna, alias Theda Singh, setting off on his next covert mission.
