Pattabhishekam Story

The film begins in a college where Balu, a talented tennis champion, captures the admiration of Hema, the daughter of wealthy tycoon Markendeyulu. Their mutual admiration soon blossoms into love. Balu lives with his elder brother Sitaram, a principled advocate, and sister-in-law Janaki, a lecturer, both of whom he respects deeply. Meanwhile, Rajesh, a mischievous fellow student who also desires Hema, constantly tries to create rifts between the lovers but fails. In a petty legal case, Sitaram penalizes Chinna Rao, Markendeyulu’s son. Seizing the opportunity, Rajesh spins tales to fuel animosity, eventually exposing the romance between Balu and Hema. Furious, Markendeyulu warns Balu, while Sitaram also disapproves of the match due to class differences, forcing Balu to leave home. When the lovers attempt to elope, Markendeyulu stabs Balu, but the strength of their love helps him recover. Determined to end the affair, Markendeyulu schemes to marry Hema to Mastan Rao, his daughter-in-law Sumathi’s brother, and confines her in his palace. Balu, however, rescues Hema, despite being hunted by Mastan Rao and Rajesh.

Markendeyulu escalates matters by filing a case, declaring Hema a minor, but Sitaram and Janaki, realizing Balu’s sincere love, finally stand by him. Not giving up, Markendeyulu abducts Hema again, forcibly attempting her marriage with Mastan Rao. But when Markendeyulu sees Mastan Rao’s treachery, he double-crosses him, only for Mastan Rao to retaliate and take control. In the climax, Balu defeats Mastan Rao and rescues Hema. Witnessing the depth of their love, Markendeyulu undergoes a change of heart and reforms. The movie ends on a joyful note with the marriage of Balu and Hema.
