Rechukka Story

The film begins with King Devarayalu celebrating his son Kumararayulu’s birthday when Mahamantri expresses his desire to wed his daughter Lalitha Devi to the Prince, but Devarayalu scorns him. Offended, Mahamantri conspires with his aide Nagulu and captures the King, while Veeranna, a loyal aide of the King, absconds with the Prince, only for them to be separated. A snake bites Kumararayulu, but a tribal leader, Jogulu, rescues him, recognizes his identity, yet remains silent. Meanwhile, devastated Veeranna, failing to find the Prince, returns home, explains the situation to his wife and daughter Nana, and sets out to rescue the King, but he too is captured. Years pass, and Kumararayulu grows up as Kanna, while Nana becomes a busker. In prison, Veeranna dies, but the King uses the opportunity to escape and unknowingly takes shelter at Nana’s place. On Lalitha Devi’s birthday, Nana entertains her and notices Mahamantri gifting her a diamond necklace that once belonged to the former queen, which Nana snatches away. Soon, Kanna arrives at the fort, pledges to retrieve the necklace, and succeeds. During this time, he falls in love with Nana, while Lalitha also develops feelings for him.

When Kanna tries to clarify his intentions to Lalitha, soldiers capture him. Meanwhile, Mahamantri and Nagulu learn of the King’s survival, mistake Kanna for his ally, and torture him. At the same time, Nana discovers the King’s presence, and under his guidance, she steals the royal seal, “Raja Mudra,” to free Kanna but ends up captured herself. Aware of this, the King enrages Kanna, who then fights back and recognizes him as his father. Still, Kanna vows to protect Nana and risks his life once more. During the final conflict, the King allies with the tribals and surrounds the fort. Using his wit, Kanna defeats the villains. In the end, the movie concludes happily with the marriage of Kanna and Nana.
