Santhosam Story
Zamindar Dayanidhi, a capitalist stingy tyrant, tramples the destitute with loans. Sundaraiah, a pleb, strives and craves for his son Anand to become an advocate by mortgaging his property with Dayanidhi. Regardless, he callously auctions it, which leads to Sundaraiah’s suicide. Anand returns, acquainted with his childhood mate Mohan. Following this, he collapses upon viewing his father’s corpse and aborts a bid to slay Dayanidhi. Here, Mohan tutors him to move according to the secular world and seek vengeance by hitting the foe with brainpower. At that point, fortuitously, they witness an accident where England-returned tycoon Paramanand, the doppelganger of Anand, dies. Thus, Mohan steers Anand to swap identities, who then nears and cares for Paramanand’s blind mother, Radhabai. He learns about his nuptial with Dayanidhi’s snobbish daughter, Sarasa. Exploiting it, he moves on. Thence, he mocks and ruffles Dayanidhi by swindling his ill-gotten wealth and showing asperity towards Sarasa. Besides, Murthy, the benignant son of Dayanidhi, crushes on their maid Amrutham. Being cognizant of it, Dayanidhi wiles to slaughter her, but she absconds and lands at Hyderabad.
At this juncture, a lunatic millionaire, Parvathalu, muddles Amrutham for his long-lost daughter Kamala. On the doctor’s grounds, she nurses him with gentle affection and helps him convalesce, when he cozies up to her as his own. Meanwhile, desolate Murthy quits as a tramp and resides in an “Ashram” for tranquillity. However, discerning its chieftain, Harihara Das, as a masked cat, he gets enraged and accidentally wipes him out. Now, Anand appears as the defense counsel in disguise and acquits him. Further, he tricks Parvathalu and unites Murthy and Amrutham. On that occasion, the Police move to apprehend Dayanidhi as the homicide of Amrutham, which stifles him and drives him to attempt suicide. Anand secures him, unveils his true self, divulges the actuality, and is about to exit when all accompany him. At last, Dayanidhi reforms after soul-searching and pleads for pardon. Finally, the movie ends happily.
