Thalli Tandrulu Story
The film begins with a large joint family headed by Veeramachineni Venkataramaiah, an honorable man who runs a timber business. He lives happily with his devoted wife Padmavati, three sons, and two daughters. Anand, the youngest son, is carefree and playful until he crosses paths with Kavitha, a beautiful young woman, leading to constant quarrels that gradually spark love. Meanwhile, Sivaram, a former employee who rose to power through malpractice, becomes Venkataramaiah’s rival. Anand exposes Sivaram’s cruelty, enraging his son Chanti, who sets a trap by framing Anand and Kavitha in a prostitution scandal. To save Kavitha’s honor, Anand marries her against his family’s wishes and is cast out of the house. Soon after, Sivaram proposes Chanti’s marriage to Venkataramaiah’s younger daughter Madhavi, but Venkataramaiah rejects him. In retaliation, Sivaram plunges him into massive debts, forcing the timber depot to auction. Heartbroken by betrayal from his own children, Venkataramaiah collapses with a heart attack, while Padmavati tragically takes her life to prevent the auction.
At this point, Anand steps in, promising his mother’s memory to save the family’s honor. With Kavitha’s support, he works tirelessly, repays the debts, and restores his father’s prestige. He also arranges a good marriage for Madhavi as Kavitha carries their child. However, Anand’s siblings—Prakash, Ashok, and Kamala—grow jealous of his success and file a case demanding their share of the property. Sivaram exploits the rift, attempting to seize the depot, but Anand thwarts him. In retaliation, Sivaram abducts Venkataramaiah and Kavitha, torturing them while betraying Prakash and Ashok, who ultimately realize their mistakes and reform. In the climactic showdown, Anand defeats Sivaram and his son, but Venkataramaiah, gravely injured, passes away. Before dying, he sells his eyes and kidneys to financially support Anand for Madhavi’s wedding. The film concludes on a bittersweet yet uplifting note: Anand welcomes a baby boy, reunites with his family, and upholds his father’s legacy.
