Veerabhadra Story

The film begins in Hyderabad, at the colony Adarsa, where people of different mindsets live. Murali Krishna, a gallant youth, arrives with his disabled “sister” Mallika, whom he dotes on deeply. Soon, he wins over the colony residents, while a bold girl Ashtalakshmi develops feelings for him. But Murali purposefully admits Mallika into the college of dreaded don Chevupogu Peddiraju, who wields power even from prison. Shockingly, Peddiraju shares a deadly feud with Murali and is hunting him with his brothers, though Murali’s beloved is their sister Malathi. When Peddiraju strikes, Murali defends Mallika, but a clash with the local DCP leads to his arrest. Framed in a murder attempt on the DCP, Murali saves him instead and escapes. At this juncture, Mallika stuns everyone by declaring Murali is not her brother but merely her bodyguard. Later, she confides that her lie was to protect Murali, before the tale shifts to Vizag, revealing his past.

Years ago, Murali was born the grandson of a Zamindar, whose son defied him by marrying a poor girl. When the girl died giving birth, the Zamindar ordered the infant’s death. Benevolent Kondaiah saved him, handing him to drunkard Pothuraju, who raised Murali but exploited him. Growing up righteous, Murali stood with the poor, fought oppression, and unknowingly clashed with Peddiraju. He later fell for Malathi, even as Peddiraju brutally amputated Mallika’s leg during a land feud with the Zamindar. Discovering Murali’s immense following, the Zamindar realized he was his grandson, but too late—Peddiraju killed him. On his deathbed, he entrusted Mallika’s responsibility to Murali. Furious, Murali rose against Peddiraju, who surrendered, and the police shifted him back to Hyderabad. There, Peddiraju plotted Malathi’s forced marriage, but Murali, aided by Ashtalakshmi and Malathi, struck back. With the DCP’s testimony proving his innocence, Murali defeated the villains. Finally, the film ends happily with Murali marrying Malathi.
