Andala Ramudu Story
The film begins in the “Panchavati” colony, where people of various mindsets reside. Sitarama Rao / Ramu is an orphan raised by an old lady, Sitamma. Everyone in the territory holds Ramu dear; he treats them as his family. Once, Ramu’s briefcase is exchanged at the railway station with another containing a vast amount belonging to a multi-millionaire JB Rao. JB is a marionette in the hands of his secretary, who loathes the penniless. Ramu safely returns the briefcase to him when he is accused of being a thief, but Sita, JB’s daughter, likes his ideologies and falls for him. Meanwhile, Sitamma completes [[RamaKoti]] for her son’s wealth absconded in childhood and aspires to visit Bhadrachalam to submit it to the Lord. Parallelly, Ramu is appointed Deputy Collector at Bhadrachalam, but he wants to be silent till the end of the destination. Meanwhile, JB’s nephew Giri ploys with the secretary’s scheme and manipulates JB to marry Sita at Bhadrachalam. Ramu starts his pilgrimage with his colony in a Janatha Boat, while JB and the party accompany them in a luxury boat. Besides, a sly suspended Tahsildar Ramalingam arrives with a Govt. boat for Ramu to pamper and retrieve his position. All three are joined, and the journey begins, which takes twists and turns.
Amid this, Sitamma passes away when they try to stop the boats for the funeral; JB insults her by throwing her into the river Godavari as it wastes time. Furious, Ramu wants to teach JB a lesson, so he makes a play by hiding the boats and pretending that they have been flooded away. Now, they halt on an island where Ramu arranges food for his colony. Eventually, JB’s group is starving, and no one comes forward to sell or share their food when JB realizes that money can only do some things. So, he apologizes and embraces all of them. Surprisingly, it is revealed that JB is Sitamma’s absconded son. Knowing it, he repents and collapses when the secretary seeks to kill him, and Giri tries forcibly to espouse Sita. JB understands the nefariousness of his henchmen. At last, Ramu rescues Sita, stops the baddies, and affirms that Ramu is the newly appointed Deputy Collector. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with the marriage of Ramu & Sita.
