Brahmachari Story
The film begins with Ramakrishna, a devout worshiper of Hanuman who vows celibacy. His colleague Vasantha admires his nobleness, while his domineering father Raisahib Parandhamaiah is distressed by him. During a college picnic, Ramakrishna accidentally misplaces Vasantha’s locket. Out of regret, he gives her his own, but his mischievous friend takes a photograph and forges a love letter in Ramakrishna’s name. Meanwhile, Raisahib plans Ramakrishna’s marriage with Kokila, the daughter of tycoon Bangaraiah and love interest of Ramakrishna’s best friend Joogulu. The two friends devise a plan, and Ramakrishna sends Joogulu in his place, resulting in Kokila marrying Joogulu. Later, Vasantha confesses her love to Ramakrishna, but he scorns women, and she vows to become his bride one day.
Days later, Vasantha shocks everyone by arriving at Raisahib’s house with a baby, claiming Ramakrishna married and abandoned her. She presents the love letter and pendant as proof. Though Ramakrishna tries to clear his name, he fails. Raisahib and his wife Gajalakshmi decide to officially unite the pair, calling their elder son Anand Rao and daughter-in-law Shanta. Anand Rao recognizes Vasantha and secretly threatens her, which Ramakrishna overhears. Upon confrontation, Vasantha reveals the truth: Anand Rao had deceived her elder sister Janaki, who died giving birth to the baby. Before her death, Janaki made Vasantha promise to legitimize the child, and Vasantha staged the deception to fulfill her sister’s wish. In the end, Anand Rao reforms and accepts the child. As Vasantha prepares to leave, Ramakrishna stops her, renouncing his vow of celibacy in honor of her virtue. Finally, the film ends happily with the marriage of Ramakrishna and Vasantha.
