Mugguru Maratilu Story
During the Maratha Empire, Siddhoji of Badegao raises three valiant princes—Somoji, Subandhi, and Firoji—as his own. His cunning wife, Rukkubai, grows jealous due to her childlessness and the affection between Firoji and Raghubai, Siddhoji’s niece. With the help of the corrupt Diwanji, she poisons Siddhoji’s mind, leading to the princes’ exile to Pathikonda. Somoji prospers as its ruler, angering Rukkubai, who plots to eliminate them. Siddhoji attacks Pathikonda, but Somoji’s wife Anthumbai resists and escapes with her son Tule Rao. Meanwhile, Firoji uncovers a family secret at the Ellamma Temple, restores their ancestral power, and regains their kingdom. Furious, Rukkubai hires an assassin who kills Somoji, prompting Anthumbai to vow vengeance.
As the family prepares for war, Subandhi and Firoji part ways. Firoji rescues and marries Princess Ratnagandhi, gaining Raipurgad’s throne, while Subandhi attempts to kill Siddhoji but is captured. Rukkubai also abducts Tule Rao and orders death for both. In response, Firoji leads an army while Anthumbai rallies the people. Together, they overthrow Siddhoji, with Tule Rao fulfilling his mother’s vow by slaying him. In the end, Rukkubai repents and seeks forgiveness, and peace is restored with Firoji’s marriage to Raghubai and Tule Rao’s crowning ceremony.
