Sipayi Chinnayya Story
The film begins with a Zamindary family whose heir, Captain Bhaskar, joins the Indian Navy along with his identical friend Sipayi Chinnaiah, a pleb from the same village. After returning, Bhaskar is warmly welcomed by his younger brother Shekar and mother Subhadramma. While the family rejoices, Bhaskar’s stepbrother Kodandam harbors greed for the property. Eventually, Bhaskar falls in love with his cousin Shobha, and their alliance is fixed. Meanwhile, Chinnaiah leads a happy family life with his wife Kannamma, admired by villagers except for the goon Ganganna, Kodandam’s henchman. Though Bhaskar is kindhearted, Shekar is arrogant and scorns the poor. Chinnaiah confronts him, and angered Bhaskar slaps Chinnaiah, later regretting it. To reconcile, Bhaskar sends Chinnaiah sweets secretly filled with money to help the villagers. Soon, Bhaskar sets out to sea, where Ganganna, on Kodandam’s orders, stabs and throws him overboard. Chinnaiah pursues them, but both are trapped in a whirlpool. On hearing the tragedy, Subhadramma suffers a heart attack, while Kodandam schemes to seize the estate. Shekar falsely accuses Chinnaiah of murdering Bhaskar, using the money in the sweet box as evidence. Miraculously, Chinnaiah washes ashore and, persuaded by Shekar, agrees to impersonate Bhaskar to protect Subhadramma and the family’s honor.
Though loyal, Chinnaiah endures many struggles. Villagers mistake him for betraying Bhaskar, and Kannamma is branded a widow. When Chinnaiah secretly visits her, Ganganna slanders them, spreading rumors of an illicit affair. Shamed, Kannamma is forced into a remarriage with Ganganna. At this point, Bhaskar, rescued by fishermen but weakened, is held captive by Kodandam until Shobha frees him. During Kannamma’s wedding, Shekar and Chinnaiah confront Ganganna, leading to chaos. Bhaskar arrives in time, exposing Kodandam and Ganganna. The villains are defeated, and peace is restored. Finally, the movie ends happily with the marriage of Bhaskar and Shobha.
