Bahudoorapu Batasari Story
The film begins with Prasad, a sincere police officer, who lives with his ideal wife, Prabha, two sons, Bhanu and Raja, and a deaf and mute daughter, Suhasini. The couple sacrifices their basic needs to provide a better life for their children. As time passes, Prasad arranges their marriages: Raja with Geeta, Bhanu with Julie, and Suhasini with Narayana Rao, who shares her disability and is the son of wealthy Madhusudhan Rao. Parallelly, Avataram, Prasad’s best friend, troubles his family—Sahastrakoti Suryaprabha and his three sons—while also forging his father’s death. Meanwhile, Prasad exposes Madhusudhan Rao’s misdeeds despite his threats. During this, Madhusudhan’s elder son, Eeswar, is killed in a police encounter, and Prasad loses a leg in the crossfire, forcing his retirement. Dependent on his children, he faces betrayal as they abandon him, while Suhasini is expelled by her in-laws.
Things worsen as Prasad drowns in debt and seeks help from his sons, who instead demand a split from their parents. Enraged, Prasad expels them and decides to start afresh. In this plight, he rescues a wealthy man, Satyanarayana, who invests in him. Through hard work, Prasad rises as a tycoon. Meanwhile, Avataram’s children discover their grandfather and reform their father. Prasad restores Suhasini’s marital life, while his sons attempt to reconcile with him only for his wealth, even staging a suicide drama. When Prabha rushes to save them, Prasad stops her, and she turns against her children after realizing their deceit. Distressed, Prasad leaves as a wanderer, entrusting everything to Prabha. In the end, Prabha joins him, and Avataram reforms their children, who arrive to plead forgiveness. Finally, the movie ends with Prasad and Prabha continuing their journey, affirming to their children that self-reliance is the true path of life.
