Bandipotu Dongalu Story
The film begins with Mallu Dora revolting against society, building a massive hamlet of bandits, gathering victims, and spreading mayhem through heists. Once, while wounded, Mallu Dora seeks help from Dr. Chandra Shekar and is drawn to his infant son Krishna, who resembles his deceased son Kanna. One night, Mallu Dora abducts the child and raises him as his own. Years later, Krishna (Kanna) grows into a ruthless dacoit, working with Naagu, Malli, and Anji. Meanwhile, the grief-stricken Doctor and his wife Yashoda devote themselves to their niece Indira (Indu). At one point, Kanna robs Yashoda and Indu and gets injured in a police encounter. Admitted to the hospital, Chandra Shekar recognizes him by a mole on his back. He secretly aids Kanna’s escape and reveals his true parentage, reforming him through human values. Wishing to start afresh, Kanna lives as Krishna in Chandra Shekar’s household, hiding his past. Indu learns his truth, and they fall in love.
Eventually, Krishna visits Mallu Dora’s hamlet to persuade him to reform for future generations, but Dora angrily rebukes and expels him. Later, Krishna becomes a police officer and is deliberately posted in the same region by the government. He captures several mobsters, including Naagu, which enrages Mallu Dora. Dora retaliates by abducting officials and demanding ransom. A severe police firing ensues, causing mass destruction and the deaths of Naagu, Malli, and others. In the end, Mallu Dora realizes the futility of vengeance as he mourns the corpses and surrenders. Finally, the film concludes with the proclamation: “Non-violence is the supreme morality.”
