Chaduvukunna Ammayilu Story

The film begins with two soulmates, Sujatha and Vasantha. Sujatha is the daughter of the wealthy Raghunatha Rao, and Vasantha is the granddaughter of postmaster Rangaiah. Rangaiah lives in their village with his wife, Mahalakshmi, who aims to civilize Vasantha. Once, the friends meet Shekar, a bank employee, in an accident, and he saves them from punishment. From then, the three develop a close bond. Both young women fall for Shekar, but he reciprocates Vasantha’s love. Shekar lives at a hostel owned by Brahmanandam, Rangaiah’s ally, where several bachelors reside, including Anand, a wayward companion of Shekar. Later, Vasantha returns to her village, where she reconnects with her friend Latha, who is also Sujatha’s acquaintance. Meanwhile, Shekar is assigned to auction Rangaiah’s property for a bank loan default. Realizing the debtor is Vasantha’s grandfather, Shekar tries to stop it but fails, until Brahmanandam saves their honor. During this crisis, Sujatha shelters Vasantha to ease Rangaiah’s burden. At the same time, Latha escapes from an unwanted marriage and seeks help from her friends. Her brother attempts to capture her, but Shekar shields her and is badly beaten. Anand then introduces Latha to Shekar and manipulates her into falling for him.

Soon after, Rangaiah visits the city, suffers a heart attack, and Mahalakshmi also arrives at Sujatha’s house. There, Sujatha’s mischievous aunt humiliates them, forcing them to leave. Shekar then accompanies and supports them at the hostel. Sujatha eventually realizes Shekar’s affection for Vasantha, who chooses and marries a policeman, Prabhakar. Meanwhile, Anand lures Vasantha, traps Mahalakshmi, and paints Shekar as dishonorable. With Rangaiah’s health deteriorating, Shekar tries to admit him to a nursing home, but due to year-end audits, he entrusts the funds to Anand. Anand absconds with the money and embezzles more from the bank, leaving Shekar accused and disgraced. Rangaiah dies in the chaos, and Prabhakar takes up the case. Everyone, including Vasantha, believes Shekar guilty, except Sujatha, who senses foul play. Anand then secretly takes Latha on a tour, spreading rumors that Shekar has eloped with her, while plotting to marry Vasantha. Just as the wedding is about to proceed, Shekar arrives, but the police arrest him. Sujatha, however, tactically exposes Anand’s conspiracy, proving Shekar’s innocence. At last, the court acquits him, Anand serves a short sentence, and repents. Finally, the film ends happily with the marriage of Shekar and Vasantha.
