Dampatyam Story

The film begins with Prasad, a famous stage artist and writer, married to Durga, the daughter of a millionaire. Though their love is genuine, Prasad’s modest income cannot meet Durga’s lavish lifestyle. Over time, financial struggles and mounting debts create tension, hurting Prasad’s self-respect. Durga seeks help from her parents, which further widens the rift, leading her to leave him. The couple is separated, and both endure emotional turmoil while realizing the value of their love.

Eventually, Durga understands Prasad’s virtue through her sister-in-law Sarala and regrets her actions. She seeks reconciliation, and the two reunite, overcoming misunderstandings and societal pressures. The movie concludes on a happy note, celebrating their love and marital harmony.
