Datta Putrudu Story
The film begins in a village where Dharmaiah and Parvatamma, a childless couple, adopt Ramanna. It irks Parvatamma’s brother, Sheshayya, and develops animosity. After Ramanna’s arrival, their house blossoms with joy, and the couple is blessed with a baby girl, Saroja. Once Sheshayya tries to take hold of Dharmaiah’s fields; in that quarrel, due to misfortune, Sheshayya’s henchmen die, and Dharmaiah is incriminated and lands in jail. Years roll by, and Ramanna takes care of Parvathamma and Saroja and makes her well-educated. In the city, she falls in love with Sheshayya’s son, Raja. After completing their studies, they return to the village, where the rivalry between the two families continues.
Parallelly, Ramanna loves a strong-headed girl, Rangamma, the daughter of their distant relative, Bhushaiah. Meanwhile, Sheshayya and Ramanna learn about the love affair of Raja and Saroja and oppose the alliance. So, Raja and Saroja decide to elope when Ramanna obstructs them and assures them to perform their marriage. After that, Ramanna plays a drama and makes Sheshayya realize his mistake by the time Dharmaiah is released. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with the marriages of Ramanna and Rangamma and Raja and Saroja.
