Donga Ramudu Story
The film begins in a wealthy estate owned by Rajeswari Devi. After the tragic death of her two sons, she sends her grandson, Ramakrishna—the son of her elder son—abroad for safety. During his absence, the estate falls under the evil control of greedy relatives. Chitrangi Devi, the second wife of Rajeswari Devi’s younger son, proves malicious and manipulative. Her brother, Bhanu Prakash, cruelly exploits the estate’s laborers and exerts dominance. Meanwhile, Durga, Rajeswari Devi’s granddaughter, grows up arrogant under the corrupting influence of her stepmother. Bhanoji, the scheming son of Bhanu Prakash, entraps her in the name of love. When Ramakrishna returns, the household briefly rejoices, but the venomous relatives conspire against him, allying with the nefarious Lankeshwar Rao.
Ramakrishna, a fearless and just man, boldly confronts their atrocities, winning the loyalty of the workers. He falls in love with Ganga, a humble laborer, and also reforms his misguided sister. When he learns of Durga’s pregnancy, Lankeshwar tries to manipulate the situation, but with the workers’ support, Ramakrishna arranges Durga’s marriage to Bhanoji, granting them an equal share of the property. Enraged, Lankeshwar plots with cousin Kaaki (Kakani Kistaiah) to murder Ramakrishna, and seemingly succeeds. He seizes control of the estate, only to later betray Kaaki. To his shock, Kaaki encounters a fierce ruffian, Donga Ramudu, who resembles Ramakrishna. Passing him off as Ramakrishna, Kaaki unleashes him against the villains. In the climax, it is revealed that Donga Ramudu is indeed Ramakrishna, who had faked his death to expose the culprits and reform his family. The film ends on a triumphant note with Ramakrishna defeating the villains and marrying Ganga.
