Iddaru Ammayilu Story
The film revolves around two identical cousins, Bhanumati and Chandramati, children of sibling sisters. Bhanu is a vainglorious, naughty woman, the daughter of a millionaire engineer, Narayana Rao. In contrast, Chandra is an innocent, hardworking woman, the daughter of a penniless Ramanujam who suffers at the hands of her stepmother Sundaramma. Madhusudhana Rao (Madhu), an agriculturist, leads a happy life in his village with his father, Lakshman Rao, and mother, Mahalakshmi. Here, Narayana Rao and Lakshman Rao are best friends, and they fix Bhanu’s alliance with Madhu. Eventually, Madhu has a soulmate, Sriram, who is a Ph.D. scholar. Bhanu teases and deceives him in the name of love; when humiliated, Sriram commits suicide. Knowing it, Madhu becomes distressed. He also learns that Bhanu is responsible for this cruel deed, which makes him develop hatred toward her. At Lakshman Rao’s housewarming ceremony, Narayana Rao wants to send Bhanu, which she refuses as she dislikes the villages.
At the same time, Sundaramma forcibly makes Chandra’s marriage arrangements with her brother Lingaiah’s disabled son Manmadha Rao when Ramanujam is out of the station. Frightened, Chandra reaches Bhanu, who makes a play and sends Chandra to the village instead of her. Now, Bhanu lands at Ramanujam’s house, creates a mess, and runs away. At present, Chandra arrives in the town where she acquires affection and appreciation. Though Madhu is against her initially, he later understands her virtue and soft nature, and they fall in love. Once, unexpectedly, Bhanu spots Madhu, becomes impressed by his smartness, and decides to marry him. On Chandra’s return, Bhanu meets her and reveals her decision when Chandra concludes to sacrifice her love. By the time Chandra reaches home, Ramanujam passes away, and she is left alone, so Narayana Rao gives her solace. During Madhu and Bhanu’s arrangement, Madhu recognizes that the girl he has loved is Chandra, not Bhanu. At this point, Bhanu understands the greatness of true love, accepts her mistakes, and shows remorse. Surprisingly, Sriram comes back alive, and Bhanu pleads for a pardon from him. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note.
