Gopi Krishna, a middle-class man, lives happily with his beloved wife Lakshmi. Their peaceful life shatters when Lakshmi is diagnosed with blood cancer and given little time to live. Desperate to save her, Gopi resorts to con artistry, deceiving people to gather money for her treatment. During one such scheme, he befriends Durgamma, a wealthy but arrogant woman, by pretending to be a distant relative. Meanwhile, her daughter Radha falls in love with him. Learning of Radha’s affection, Lakshmi encourages Gopi to maintain the bond for her sake, and he reluctantly agrees. Over time, Lakshmi and Radha unknowingly become friends, with Lakshmi secretly supporting Radha’s love without revealing her true identity.

As Gopi’s deceptions grow bolder, his luck runs out, and he is eventually caught. Meanwhile, Lakshmi’s health worsens, and Gopi struggles to raise the needed money. In a twist, Radha helps him and demands to know the truth, prompting Gopi to confess everything. By the time they rush to the hospital, Lakshmi is critically ill. In a poignant climax, Lakshmi blesses Gopi and Radha’s union, smiling through her final breath as she dies content, leaving Gopi in Radha’s care.
