Jai Jawan Story
The film begins with the India-China war, where a true patriot, Madhava Rao, toils for the welfare of the people alongside his daughter Bharati, niece Kasthuri, and son Ravindra Nath, who serves in the Indian Army. Meanwhile, his malicious brother-in-law Narasimham is secretly a traitor but pretends to be a patriot. On the war front, Ravi is misled but rescued by a nurse, Susheela, and they fall in love. Grief-stricken Madhava Rao later moves into the residence of Ravi’s best friend, Dr. Raghu, who is handicapped. Bharati endears him and eventually marries him. At the same time, Narasimham’s son Babu returns from the States, marrying a foreign girl, Lilly. After a while, Ravi comes back with Susheela, expressing his desire to marry her. Narasimham and his wife Sundaramma oppose it, hoping to wed him to Kasthuri. Despite their resistance, Ravi proceeds, but just before the wedding, Susheela dies in a car accident. Heartbroken, Ravi wanders across the country until he is shocked to see Susheela alive.
He later learns she is Sujatha, Susheela’s twin sister. Though Ravi proposes to her, she declines, revealing her alliance is fixed with her foster brother Ramu, whose whereabouts remain unknown. Elders try to convince Sujatha, but at the same time, the Indian Army declares an emergency, and Ravi leaves for battle, pausing the wedding. It is eventually revealed that Raghu is Ramu, who stayed behind due to his disability. Meanwhile, Narasimham plots to destroy the country’s essential runways, but Lilly, revealed to be a CBI officer, apprehends him. In the end, Ravi returns victorious and is honored by the Government of India. Finally, the movie concludes happily with the marriage of Ravi and Sujatha.
