Koteswarudu Story
The film begins with Krishna, a gallant police spy and ex-offender, who dotes on his sister Lakshmi. To protect her, he hides his past by posing as a police officer. Unknown to her, their father, Narayana, is a lifetime prisoner. Krishna gains the trust of the SP, though Jail Superintendent Mahendra distrusts him. Mahendra relentlessly pursues the notorious underworld boss Nagendra and his lieutenant, the small boss Paratparam, who tries to ensnare Krishna but fails. Lakshmi lives in their hometown with their mother, Shantamma. During a visit, Krishna meets Lakshmi’s best friend Radha, and they fall in love. Destiny reveals Radha as Mahendra’s daughter, and he refuses their match due to Krishna’s criminal record. Soon, Krishna is falsely implicated in a smuggling case and sentenced. Meanwhile, Nagendra recalls his tragic past: once an ordinary man with a wife, Kousalya, and two children, his life shattered when goons assaulted his wife, leading to her suicide. In revenge, he killed them and turned into a dreaded don, amassing wealth for his children. Shockingly, Krishna reveals to Radha that he and Lakshmi are Nagendra’s lost children, later adopted by Narayana and Shantamma.
As the story unfolds, Narayana once committed a burglary and murder with Krishna, which led to their arrest, forcing Krishna to grow up in a juvenile home. Currently, Mahendra forces Radha into another marriage, but Krishna escapes with the SP’s help, marries her, and proves his innocence. Parallelly, Krishna supports Lakshmi’s love for the naive Buchi Babu, arranging the match through their greedy aunt Rajeswaramma, who demands heavy dowry. Krishna mortgages his home, but before the wedding, Nagendra betrays him, only to be exposed and defeated. Ultimately, Lakshmi learns the truth of Krishna’s sacrifices and reconciles with him. Nagendra also discloses his identity, showers his children with wealth, and makes Krishna a tycoon. However, Krishna, realizing his father’s dark side from the SP, rejects the riches, declaring his duty to justice. Nagendra bows to his son’s righteousness. In the climax, the small boss captures them, but Krishna bravely defeats the gang. Finally, the film ends with the proclamation: “The man who stands for piety is the true millionaire.”
