Maa Babu Story
Dr. Anand is a well-known man of rectitude; his wife dies giving birth to a boy. Parallelly, a widowed pregnant lady, Ratna Devi, suffers a miscarriage. As Anand had promised her to protect the child, he gives her his own son, hiding the truth. Grief-stricken, Anand becomes a wanderer and returns after a few years. Out of affection for his son, he begins to frequent their life. This does not augur well with Ratna Devi’s family, who make her life miserable by attributing illicit relations and forcibly stopping Anand. Shortly after, Anand marries a nurse, Maya, a spendthrift who cannot get along with him, and he later discovers she is unable to conceive. Eventually, Anand’s father passes away, leaving considerable wealth to Anand’s child, including a monthly allowance of Rs. 10,000.
At that time, Maya learns the birth secret of Anand’s child and files a case in court, which she wins. Therefore, Ratna Devi is forced to hand the child to Maya. However, the depressed child cannot stay with her and runs away from home. In the chaos of the search, Maya dies in an accident. Finally, the movie ends with Anand giving the child back to Ratna Devi and continuing his journey on official duty, dedicating his life to the hospital.
