Marapurani Manishi Story
Abbi, a self-esteemed orphan, stands for righteousness and works as a rickshaw puller. He lives in a colony where everyone credits him for his amiable nature, especially hotel owner Rangaiah, who treats him as his own. Abbi falls in love with Lakshmi, and they both spend time happily. One night, he aids a wealthy Shankar. In return, he invites and provides hospitality to his wife, Parvati, and their infant daughter, Ammulu, and showers affection on him. From there, Abbi turns into their debtor, and Ammulu goes to school in his rickshaw when he knows Shankar’s life aim is to graduate Ammulu. Meanwhile, the wheel of fortune blights Abbi’s life when Lakshmi is molested and slaughtered by a goon Ranga. In anger, Abbi slays him and lands in jail. After release, Rangaiah accommodates him with a rickshaw when he is shocked to spot Ammulu as a beggar and Parvati as a widow. Here, he learns that Shankar is bankrupt and dies. Now, Abbi dedicates his life to their welfare, and he affirms his desire to civilize Ammulu.
Time passes, and Abbi strives hard at the cost of his health, but Ammulu develops a loathing towards him as she is habituated to an affluent lifestyle. Years roll by, Abbi becomes terminally ill, and Ammulu falls for a rich guy named Shekar, which Abbi opposes when Ammulu mortifies him. Then, Parvati scolds her and makes her understand the virtue of Abbi when she realizes her folly and adheres to his word. Abbi triumphs to see Ammulu in a graduation gown. Meanwhile, Shekar convinces his father, Ananda Rao, and everyone accepts the proposal. Finally, the movie ends with Abbi blessing the newly wedded couple and breathing his last happily.
