Poola Rangadu Story

The film begins with breezy and jovial Ranga Rao, well known as Poola Rangadu, whose livelihood is pulling a horse cart. He is in love with Venkata Lakshmi. In his childhood, Ranga’s father, Veerayya, worked as a manager at a mill owned by Purushotham, who was murdered by his deceitful partners Dharma Rao and Chalapati. They incriminated Veerayya, leaving his children Ranga and Padma as orphans. Despite hardships, Ranga lovingly raises his sister. Meanwhile, Dharma Rao and Chalapati rise to prominence and pose as respectable men in society. Padma falls in love with and marries Dr. Prasad, who happens to be Purushotham’s son. Upon learning this, Narasimhulu, brother of Venkata Lakshmi, becomes resentful as he had hoped to marry Padma. Out of spite, he reveals the truth to Prasad’s mother, who expels Padma despite her pregnancy.

Enraged, Ranga confronts and thrashes Narasimhulu, resulting in his imprisonment for one year. In jail, Ranga reunites with his father Veerayya, learns the truth about the past, and vows to prove his innocence. Time passes, and while Ranga serves his sentence, Padma gives birth to a baby boy. After his release, Ranga infiltrates Dharma Rao’s household, cleverly creating conflict between Dharma Rao and Chalapati until the truth is exposed. In the end, Veerayya is proven innocent, and Prasad reconciles with Padma. Finally, the movie concludes on a happy note with the marriage of Ranga and Venkata Lakshmi.
