The film begins with Gopi, a happy-go-lucky youngster who spends his life frolicking. Since he does not realize the responsibilities, his father, Zamindar Rao Bahadur Ranga Rao, asks him to take up their estate management. In between the journey, Gopi gets acquainted with the beautiful girl Radha. The circumstances make him dramatize as a driver before her, and they fall in love. Gopi secretly marries Radha in the temple; knowing about it, Zamindar arrives when Radha also learns the truth and feels as if Gopi has deceived her. The same night, Zamindar orders his henchmen to eliminate Radha, who sets fire to her house when Gopi assumes she is dead. But fortuitously, she escapes, reaching her sister Shanti, and by then, Radha is pregnant. There, grief-stricken Gopi becomes a drunkard when Zamindar feels sorry for his deed. To the fortune, Radha gives birth to a baby boy at the hospital of Gopi’s bestie, Dr. Murali, and dies. Before dying, she takes a word from Shanti to make the child Gopi’s heir, and Shanti promises to fulfill her dream.
