Murali Krishna Story
The film begins with the ideal Dr. Krishna, who falls for the mischievous Murali, daughter of retired army chief Bhayamkar, and marries her. Murali maintains intimate correspondence through letters with artist Kantam, mistaking him for a woman. Later, he reveals himself as Lakshmikanth and proposes to her. Murali’s best friend, Srilatha, insists she end the affair, but instead, Murali poses Srilatha as herself to marry Kantam. This act turns tragic, as fate makes Krishna and Kantam friends. Learning of Kantam’s love story, Krishna mistakenly assumes the beloved is his own wife. Determined to unite them, Krishna quietly serves divorce papers and leaves. Murali collapses upon discovering this and learns the truth from Kantam. Nevertheless, she reveals everything and urges Kantam to marry Srilatha, which he does. Soon after, Murali returns to her father Bhayamkar’s residence, only to face his death, followed by her father’s as well. Meanwhile, Krishna establishes a hospital in a remote village, where he is revered like a deity for his service.
Once, Krishna revives Zamindar Raghuramaiah from near death, and his widowed daughter Poornima begins to admire him. By fortune, Murali finds work as a nurse in a nearby town hospital. Murali and Poornima become friends, and Murali realizes Poornima’s feelings for Krishna. Unbeknownst to Krishna, Murali sets out to speak with him, convincing Raghuramaiah of her intent, but she is shocked to encounter her husband. Standing firm, she decides to unite Poornima with Krishna and leaves a letter of endorsement before departing. Tragically, Murali meets with an accident as she prepares to leave the village. Krishna discovers her handwriting and rushes to her. Soon, Kantam and Srilatha also arrive and reveal the truth. Gravely injured, Murali is taken to Krishna’s hospital, but the dismayed Krishna cannot operate. At last, Poornima encourages him, and Krishna performs the surgery, saving Murali. Finally, the movie ends happily with the reunion of Krishna and Murali.
