Pelli Kanuka Story

The film begins with two collegians, Bhaskar and Vasanti. Once, he drafts a love note, which Vasanti places before the principal, who rusticates Bhaskar when she pities him. Soon, Bhaskar gains an executive role in a high-ranking company. Later, Vasanti apologizes to him, but he proclaims that everything happened for his sake, and they grow close. Parallelly, Satyam, Bhaskar’s childhood mate, forges himself as an official before his wife, Kantham, shelters him. Anyhow, he vacates as Satyam’s ploy breaks up and walks to rent a portion of Vasanti’s residence, where they act as strangers. Geeta, Vasanti’s elder sibling, strives to civilize Vasanti, who in turn deifies her. Unbeknownst, Geeta silently adores Bhaskar and confides it to Vasanti. Since she owes her sister, Vasanti disregards her own feelings and convinces Bhaskar. Soon after the nuptials, Bhaskar and Geeta shift to Vizag, while Vasanti joins as a typist at a private firm. There, Manager Raghu endears himself and proposes to her, but she refuses, divulging everything. He resigns and leaves town. Meanwhile, Bhaskar cannot reciprocate with Geeta because his heart still longs for Vasanti. Realizing this, Vasanti pleads with him to erase his past, and he starts a new life with Geeta. Shortly afterward, she conceives and delivers a baby boy, Raja, with Vasanti accompanying them.

Next, Geeta falls ill when she suspects the intimacy of Bhaskar and Vasanti and rebukes them. As a result, Vasanti quits, but she meets with an accident and is rescued by an elderly wealthy man who shelters her. Thereafter, Bhaskar, enraged, affirms the sacred sacrifice of her sister. Listening to this, Geeta collapses and passes away in grief. Before her last breath, she makes Bhaskar swear to make Vasanti Raja’s mother. Vasanti begins managing the old man’s family tasks, as he wishes to marry her to his son. Destiny reveals Raghu as his son, who arrives and announces his love for Vasanti even today. While noticing Bhaskar’s advertisement seeking her, Vasanti declares she will marry Raghu. Fortuitously, Satyam and Kantham, roving under their business, spot Vasanti. At last, Bhaskar rushes, conscious of Vasanti’s nuptials via Satyam, but it is too late. Finally, the movie ends with Bhaskar going astray, bestowing his child as a wedding gift to Vasanti.
