Prema Kanuka Story
The film begins with Raja Shekaram, an artist, who lands at an estate for his portrayal and settles in a dock house. One night, he spots something fishy and detects a beauty, Gowri, whose night halts there. Raja praises her beauty and paints her picture when she starts loving him. It irks Sandhya, the vainglory daughter of a vindictive Janthuvula Jaganatham. So, she spoils the paintings when Raja proceeds to shut her down. At that moment, astonishingly, he remembers reincarnation and makes Sandhya believe it. Eventually, Mohan, a malicious nephew of Jaganatham, conducts anti-social activities in that area. He aspires to knit Sandhya and keeps an evil eye on Gowri, but Raja puts a check on him. Meanwhile, Jaganatham senses Raja and Sandhya’s love affair and approves of their espousal. Parallelly, Raja splices Gowri with Kumar, who turns out to be Mohan’s sidekick, and he surrenders her to him. Raja shields her when Mohan denounces him, and Jaganatham eagerly queries him. Here, as a flabbergast, Raja declares himself to be the son of the bungalow’s previous owner, Bhushaiah. Hearing it, Jaganatham dodges it and proclaims Raja as a defrauder before Sandhya when, shockingly, she announces herself to be pregnant.
Following this, she too misconstrues Raja and decides to get aborted. Knowing it, Gowri rushes as Mohan is molesting her. Before dying, she also informs Raja about Mohan and Sandhya’s barbarity. Forthwith, Raja enlightens Sandhya by showing his insane sister Seeta suffering in a mental asylum. In the past, Jaganatham hoodwinked Seeta, which led to the destruction of their family. Hence, he made this play to teach Jaganatham a lesson. Listening to it, Sandhya understands Raja’s virtue, and both make Jaganatham repent. Raja has become a CBI officer appointed to catch Mohan’s illegal activities. Being aware of it, Mohan kidnaps Seeta with Jaganatham when she retrieves her memory. At last, Raja ceases Mohan, and Jaganatham pleads pardon. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with the marriage of Raja and Sandhya.
