Sangeeta Samrat Story
The film begins in a village where Gopi, an orphan blessed with the divine gift of music, is cherished for his kind nature. During a wedding, the bride invites her music mentor, Viswanatha Sastry, along with his disciples. Among them is Radha, a dancer whom Gopi adores, but she ridicules him when he wishes her to dance to his music. However, Viswanatha Sastry recognizes Gopi’s immense talent and offers to take him as a disciple. Initially hesitant, Gopi accepts after learning Radha’s dream of marrying a man who can sing for her dance. With determination, he trains rigorously under Sastry, transforms into a skilled musician, and wins Radha’s love. Meanwhile, Narasimha Sastry, envious of Viswanatha Sastry, trains his children—Poorna Chandra and Malini—to outshine their rivals. Gopi is soon expelled from the institute on false charges, and even Radha misunderstands him, but the truth eventually comes to light.
Later, cultural competitions are held where Malini competes against Radha. To sabotage them, Narasimha Sastry damages Viswanatha Sastry’s voice, but Gopi saves his guru’s honor. Gopi and Radha then travel abroad on a music-and-dance tour, gaining international fame. Jealous, Narasimha humiliates Viswanatha Sastry, who entrusts Gopi with the title contest of “Sangeeta Samrat.” Yet Gopi, lost in love with Radha, neglects his focus. On Sastry’s insistence, Radha sacrifices her love and distances herself, driving Gopi into alcoholism. The shock causes Sastry’s collapse, spurring Gopi to vow to restore his guru’s glory. At the national challenge, Gopi falters until Radha’s return rekindles his spirit, leading him to victory. In the end, Viswanatha Sastry blesses their sacred bond, Narasimha Sastry concedes defeat, and the story concludes joyfully with the marriage of Gopi and Radha.
