Seetharamayya Gari Manavaralu Story
The film begins in a village along the Godavari River, where Sitaramayya, a wealthy and respected landlord, lives happily with his wife Janakamma and son Dr. Srinivasa Murthy (Vasu). Father and son share a close bond, but a rift occurs when Vasu opposes his father’s choice for his love interest, Sumathi. Feeling disrespected, Sitaramayya stops speaking to Vasu, prompting him to leave the country. Twenty years later, Vasu’s daughter, Seeta, comes to attend a wedding at her grandfather’s home. Despite Sitaramayya’s initial resentment, Seeta’s wit and charm gradually win over the family and help resolve tensions with her in-law Veerabhadraiah.
During this time, Dr. Vivekam, Vasu’s friend, arrives and learns that Seeta has been hiding the truth about her parents’ death to protect her grandparents. On Sitaramayya’s 60th birthday celebration, he eagerly awaits Vasu’s arrival, but Seeta conducts the ceremony without revealing the truth. Tragically, Janakamma dies from the joy of the celebration, and Sitaramayya is devastated by Vasu’s absence at her funeral. Seeta eventually helps her grandfather understand her father’s final wish to immerse his ashes in the Godavari. In the end, Sitaramayya fulfills Vasu’s last wish, and the film closes on a heartwarming note, emphasizing that “there is no end to Indian Family Structure.”
