Sri Ranga Neethulu Story
The film begins with Narayana Murthy, a wealthy tycoon devoted to righteousness, who constantly preaches principles of virtue. He lives with his wife, Janaki, his son, Rajesh, and his daughter, Shanti. Narayana Murthy ostracizes Shanti for marrying a Christian, John. Unknown to the world, Narayana Murthy also has a second wife, Shobha, with a daughter, Lakshmi. After Shobha’s death, Lakshmi sets out to meet her father. Meanwhile, Vijaya, a rich young woman, flees from a forced marriage arranged by her maternal uncle Chalapati. On her way, her taxi hits Lakshmi, but she absconds with Lakshmi’s luggage, unintentionally leaving her behind. Trespassing Rajesh admits the injured Lakshmi into a hospital, while Vijaya, using Lakshmi’s belongings, fabricates her identity and takes shelter in Narayana Murthy’s household as Lakshmi. Coincidentally, she reunites with Rajesh, who also uncovers evidence of his father’s affair in her bag. When Rajesh confronts Narayana Murthy, he admits the truth but introduces Vijaya as his friend’s daughter. Determined to teach his father a lesson, Rajesh tells Vijaya to continue her deception, but their staged romance blossoms into genuine love.
Meanwhile, the real Lakshmi seeks refuge with her fiancé, Ravi, who is also John’s close friend. Ravi shelters her until his mother, Raja Rajeswari Devi, consents to their marriage. Parallelly, Dr. Sundara Murthy, the family physician, notices Vijaya’s missing ad and alerts Chalapati, raising suspicion about her true identity. Eventually, Rajesh visits John’s house and discovers Lakshmi there. Staying discreet, he helps Ravi and Lakshmi gain Raja Rajeswari Devi’s approval for their marriage. After several comic twists, they succeed, and Rajesh cleverly arranges his wedding with Vijaya on the same day. When Ravi and Lakshmi visit Narayana Murthy’s home to invite him, Lakshmi recognizes her father, and Rajesh reveals he has known the truth all along, assuring everyone of a happy resolution. During the wedding, Chalapati abducts Vijaya, but Rajesh rescues her, defeating him and returning in time for the ceremony. Shocked, Narayana Murthy tries to halt the marriage, but Rajesh pushes him to confess the truth. At last, Rajesh clears all misunderstandings, and the film ends happily with the weddings of Rajesh–Vijaya and Ravi–Lakshmi.
