Yet, in her despair, Sarada marries Viswam. Heartbroken, Shekar leaves and becomes a wanderer. Soon after, Viswam returns to his hometown, takes a new job, and the couple dreams of a happy married life, but tragedy strikes when Viswam meets with an accident that leaves him impotent. Relieved, Viswam agrees, with his mother also supporting the idea, being aware of Shekar and Sarada’s bond. He tries to convince Shekar, but the devoted Sarada refuses.
